Apart from support for mobile gaming, Qualcomm previously announced the global launch of the Snapdragon Sound audio platform.
Along with this launch, the company said that 30 OEMs have signed agreements and are ready to launch their commercial products, such as Xiaomi, Edifier, and Master & Dynamics.
Through the presence of Snapdragon Sound, Qualcomm said it wanted to bring a CD transmission experience lossless audio via Bluetooth connectivity. Especially nowadays, one of the features that consumers demand a lot is quality lossless audio.
To deliver this experience, Qualcomm brings Qualcomm aptX Lossless technology that strengthens the Adaptive aptX capabilities of Snapdragon Sound.
This technology is designed to deliver improvements in lossless audio 16-bit 44.1kHz CD quality via bluetooth wireless connectivity.
Armed with this capability, James said, OEMs can use Snapdragon Audio to support a variety of audio formats, including lossless CD, HD 24-bit 48kHz and high resolution 24-bit 96kHz. In addition to high quality, connectivity is also reliable.
“With Snapdragon Sound, we’re taking a new system-level approach, looking at the complete audio suite from mobile to earbud, while introducing new ways to produce sound quality,” said James Chapman, Vice President and General Manager of Voice, Music and Wearables, Qualcomm, in an official statement received on Friday (3/9/2021).
James said by optimizing audio capabilities, Qualcomm makes it possible to offer an experience latency low when playing game, make clear voice calls, and play high-quality music.
