Putin will meet with Lukashenka again – World – tsn.ua

On May 16, Moscow will host a meeting of leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The meeting will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the signing of the collective security treaty and the 20th anniversary of the creation of the organization.

The press service of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted that the participants plan to discuss the current situation in the region and the world and “measures for a joint response to emerging diverse challenges and threats.”

In addition, Alexander Lukashenko will hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It was announced in Minsk that one of the main topics of the conversation would be the issues of “development of cooperation and joint work on import substitution.”

The members of the CSTO are Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

Earlier it was known that to avoid sanctions restrictions Russia, having close relationships within the framework of economic and other unions and associations, it is trying to attract third countries.
