Pull me eight. Instagram-test Jaguar F-Pace SVR :: Autonews

In a few days, I seem to have dumped the Ford Focus battery in a nearby parking space. Every cold start of the Jaguar F-Pace SVR with an ominous roar disperses not only birds throughout the South-West Administrative District, but also activates Chinese parking alarms. But that’s not all: you can press a modest button somewhere near the gearbox selector and add even more bass – the F-Pace SVR has real waste bypass valves in the exhaust system. And no artificial amplifiers in your speakers!

At the very beginning of the test, we asked Instagram followers to guess what kind of car it was. By the way, listen to how it starts up:

This is how the Jaguar F-Pace SVR drives sideways. The power is indecent (550 hp and 680 Nm of torque), but it is not so easy to set it up and keep in a skid because of the ragged distribution of thrust along the axles. In addition, there is no “drift mode” with disabling the front axle here.

Depending on the selected mode (“Eco”, “Comfort”, “Sport”), the graphics change, but insignificantly – first of all, it is a change in the color scheme. By the way, the speedometer is immodestly marked up to 360 km / h, although the declared maximum speed is 283 km / h.

The Jaguar F-Pace SVR travels from standstill to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. Moreover, from the first attempt it confirms the “passport”. Although this is far from the best indicator among competitors: the BMW X3 M Competition (510 hp) accelerates in 4.1 seconds, and the Mercedes GLC 63 S AMG (510 hp) – in 3.8 seconds.

And this is how the crossover accelerates from 60 to 180 km / h. The loud exhaust accompanies even at speeds well over a hundred:
