The Russian Federation continues to build up its military forces along the Ukrainian borders. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published a new map showing the location of Russian troops and heavy equipment.

The map was published by the American edition Foreign Policy with reference to an official from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The map presents a recent analysis of the build-up of the Russian army near the borders of Ukraine. The data on this map were used by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to inform the allies.

The published map shows that most Russian troops and heavy equipment is located on the eastern border of Ukraine. About 10 battalion tactical groups are concentrated here. On the territory of Belarus there are aviation units, a tank battalion and motorized infantry units. A camp with weapons and military equipment was set up in the Kursk region.

Near the border, Russia has four brigades equipped with Iskander ballistic missiles. Ballistic missiles could reach most of Ukraine, according to Rob Lee, an expert on the Russian military and doctoral student at King’s College London.
