The Indian government has officially blocked the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile since last year for several reasons such as influencing the young generation of India to commit violence.
Now, Krafton Inc together with PUBG Corp will relaunch PUBG Mobile in India under the new name Battleground Mobile India. As the name implies, the game is designed and built for the Indian market.
Krafton disbursed an investment of US $ 100 million (around Rp. 1.4 trillion) for the creation of the Battleground Mobile India game.
In addition, the e-sports game ecosystem will also be separated from games PUBG Mobile other. Later, Battleground Mobile India will hold a tournament similar to the Chinese market which has a local PEL (Peacekeeper Elite League) tournament with games PUBG Mobile Another specialty is named Peacekeeper Elite (Game for Peace).
“Battlegrounds Mobile India will be released with a number of exclusive content and events, and has a separate e-sports ecosystem (from the main game PUBG Mobile), “said Krafton Economic Times.
“Krafton will also collaborate with a number of related partners to build an e-sports ecosystem, while presenting a number of Indian-related content which will be announced at a later date,” added Krafton.
Krafton did not reveal the release date of this game. Just like games PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India will also be able to be played for free.
