synopsis or introduction
This thesis will discuss to what extent education and psychoanalysis are conceptually and structurally similar and differences will be pointed out in order to form a relationship between the two disciplines and then to be able to illuminate further aspects of this relationship.
It is only possible to create a transdisciplinary competence between education and psychoanalysis if the discussion about the disciplines, which has been undifferentiated for a long time, gains topicality. To do this, the intradisciplinary framework for the terms education and psychoanalysis, which are often used in a pluralistic and inflationary manner, would first have to be created. Since the creation of these framework conditions would go beyond the scope of this elaboration and should be left to the experts in this field, chapters two and three only provide an introduction to the two disciplines, with the respective complexities making even an adequate introduction too comprehensive for the present body would be.
However, different authors’ views are presented that explicitly deal with the relationship between education and psychoanalysis. Above all, Pazzini, Körner, Bittner and Rumpf are considered, since they have increasingly dealt with the said relationship in recent years. The fourth chapter will then discuss the extent to which education and psychoanalysis are similar in design in order to show a relationship between the two disciplines. Finally, the fifth chapter will serve as a conclusion, in which the results of the analysis in chapter four are compiled and the answer to the research question is to be provided. Furthermore, space is made available to name any further aspects of the relationship that could be examined in further elaboration.
