PSG and Manchester City, victorious without title in Champions League

Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are currently two of the most economically powerful teams in European football. Qatari investments have catapulted them among the best clubs of the moment: both are candidates for the 2021/22 Champions League and two of the rivals with the most talent in their squads.

However, both the French and the British are among the four clubs that have achieved the most victories without lifting the title at any time throughout their history. This is the case of Arsenal, with 83 victories, followed by PSG (66), Olympique Lyon (58) and Manchester City (49).

The top 10 teams with the most victories without a title is configured as follows: Arsenal (83), PSG (66), Olympique Lyon (58), Manchester City (49), Valencia (48), Atlético de Madrid (48), Olympiacos (40), Benfica (37), Roma (36) and Bayer Leverkusen (36).

Real Madrid, leader in titles

PSG and Manchester City, with a lost final each, want to enter the history of the Champions League and be part of the select group of champions. Currently, 22 teams are those that have at least one title in their showcases. Real Madrid (13) owns the most, followed by AC Milan (7), Bayern (6), Liverpool (6), FC Barcelona (5) and Ajax (4).

The list of the 22 teams is configured by: Real Madrid (13); AC Milan (7); Bayern and Liverpool (6); FC Barcelona (5); Ajax (4); Inter and Manchester United (3); Juventus, Benfica, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Porto (2); and Celtic, Hamburg, Steaua Bucharest, Marseille, Dortmund, Feyenoord, Aston Villa, PSV and Red Star (1).
