PSD’s ‘secret’ plan to destabilize PNL and USR – Alfred Simonis, group leader: ‘We really wanted him not to reconcile’ – News by sources

The leader of the PSD parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies, Alfred Simonis, explains the PSD’s decision not to contribute to the acceleration of the vote on a motion of censure by the fact that PSD wanted PNL and USR “not to reconcile”. Simonis pointed out that if the motion of censure had been voted on before the PNL congress, people like Ludovic Orban or Dan Barna, who is no longer in office, would have remained in the political dignities or positions held until recently, News.ro reports.

“Let me tell you honestly: our goal was not to be Cîţu or not to be president of PNL, our categorical goal was that USR and PNL not to reconcile and not lead Romania to disaster or continue to the disaster in which they have brought to Romania. If for that we needed to delay the motion of censure – although practically the fact that it was delayed was caused by the fact that the USR and AUR filed a motion without consulting us, without having to add to the text, to we change the text and that motion you know was attacked at the RCC and that’s why we had to wait for the result before debating the motion of censure – but if that, the fact that Florin Cîţu won the PNL presidency confuses the USR and PNL to reconcile, let me say that it was the right strategy, because our goal, of all, and of Romania, is to get rid of Cîţu, but also of Barna, and of Năsui, and of Mihăilă, and of Ion Stelian as well as of Turcan, by the way.

Therefore, if it was necessary to pass these three weeks in which the entire political scene changed – at the time of submitting the USR-AUR motion, remember that Ludovic Orban was the President of the Chamber (Deputies – no) and the head of PNL, Florin Cîţu was Prime Minister , Dan Barna was deputy prime minister and president of the USR – practically if that motion passed the next day, these people would remain in office. Today, Ludovic Orban has a day or two at the helm of the Chamber, he is no longer the president of the PNL, Florin Cîţu is the resigned prime minister and the president of a dissolving party and Dan Barna is neither the deputy prime minister nor the president of USR. So what I’m trying to tell you is that we really wanted these parties that did a lot of harm to Romania and the Romanians during this period, not to reconcile “, Alfred Simonis stated on Sunday evening, at Digi 24.
