The PlayStation 5 will hit the market in late 2020 and it was confirmed that the new generation console it will only allow you to play some PS4 games, so that there will be no backward compatibility with PS3, PS2 and PS, despite the rumors that circulated in recent months.

Sony has not yet released all PS5 details and that is why rumors have arisen about many of the functions that it will have, but Ubisoft was in charge of confirming on a support page that the new console will only let you play a few PS4 games.

Goodbye to PS3, PS2 and PS games

This ruled out any illusion that there might be to play a PS3, PS2 and PS title, as Ubisoft was blunt and made it clear that there will be no backward compatibility.

At the moment Sony has not confirmed or denied the information, but it contrasts with what was done by Microsoft, since the Xbox Series X will have compatibility with most Xbox One games, all Xbox 360 games, as well as original Xbox games.
