So far, Sony has presented the PS5 in two versions, namely the Standard Edition and the Digital Edition. Both will continue to present a new generation of gaming experiences.

Sony claims they both carry AMD Ryzen “Zen 2” CPUs which have a variable frequency of 3.5 GHz. That’s much faster than the PS4 which uses AMD Core Jaguar 1.6 GHz or 2.1 GHz for the Pro version.

In addition, the GPU is also enhanced by using custom RDNA 2 which supports variable frequency equivalent to 2.23 GHz. This is much different from the PS4 which previously used AMD Radeon and was limited to 800MHz and 911 MHz (Pro) frequencies.
