Prudential Names Brad Hearn CEO of Prudential Holdings of Japan
TOKYO adn NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 14, 2025 – Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) today announced the appointment of Brad Hearn as the next Chief Executive Officer of Prudential holdings of Japan (PHJ), effective October 10, 2025. The move marks a leadership transition as Motofusa Hamada steps down from the role, remaining as an advisor through December 31, 2025, to ensure a seamless handover.
Hearn previously served as chief operating officer for Prudential’s Japan operations. Prior to that, he was president of Prudential Advisors, Prudential’s U.S. retail and advice business, overseeing nearly 3,000 financial advisors. He joined Prudential in 2018 after holding the position of executive vice president of Business Consulting for the Self-reliant Advisor Services unit of LPL Financial.
