Proximus to offer Disney streaming service – ICT news

Proximus has reached an agreement with Disney to offer the Disney + streaming service that the American entertainment giant will introduce in Belgium on September 15.

Proximus customers with a TV Pack subscription All Stars or All Stars & Sports will have access to Disney’s streaming service at no additional cost for one year. The latter has in its assortment films and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic in particular. Customers with the brand new Android decoder from Proximus will be able to view directly via this device. Customers of the All Stars packs, who do not yet have the new decoder, will be able to exchange the old one for a new one free of charge.

Exclusivity

The prices of the packs remain unchanged: 29.99 euros per month for All Stars, including not only the catalog of films and series from Proximus, but also Netflix and soon therefore Disney +. As for All Stars & Sports, it costs 39.99 euros per month and also includes sports channels.

Proximus has received exclusive marketing rights from Disney. Competitor telecom operators will therefore not be able to offer a Disney + subscription in their packs for a certain period. After having snatched the contract concluded with Studio 100 from Telenet in 2017, Proximus is once again launching the fight to attract households with children.

Anyone who becomes a Disney + customer directly will pay 69.99 euros per year in Belgium. Until September 14, however, there will be an introductory offer of 59.99 euros. Netflix is ​​more expensive: the cheapest formula is indeed 7.99 euros per month.
