Protest in Zaporozhye against quarantine – police opened a case

According to the police, the law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene urged the protesters to stop blocking public transport, and also tried to bring the most active participant of the action to administrative responsibility.

“Among the protesters, an unknown woman behaved most defiantly, ignoring quarantine restrictions. After police officers tried to bring her to administrative responsibility, about 20 protesters prevented this and resisted,” the police said.

On the fact of obstructing law enforcement officers, the police initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This violation is punishable by a fine or arrest for up to 6 months, or restraint of liberty for up to 4 years, or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
