Antifa stands for anti-fascist action, and it does not consist of a centrally managed organization, but of more than 100 local groups with an environment of sympathizers. The members of the Antifa scene agree in their more or less intense fight against people and activities perceived as “fascist”. In this sometimes violent fight, a significant part of the scene is in the eyes of domestic intelligence.
At least 47 Antifa groups are observed by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and classified as “extremist”, as a WORLD evaluation of the reports from federal and state offices for the protection of the constitution showed. Why “at least” 47?
