Prosecution seizes and searches WeMade in connection with the suspicion of ‘Kim Nam-guk Coin’

It was belatedly confirmed that the prosecution conducted a search and seizure of Wemade, the issuer of Wemix, known as the coin that Rep. Kim Nam-guk mainly traded.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office forcibly investigated WeMade located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do as a witness over two days on the 24th and 26th of last month.

Previously, about 20 Wemix investors accused CEO Jang Hyun-guk of fraud and violation of the Capital Markets Act, saying that WeMade did not properly disclose the amount of Wemix distribution.

An official from WeMade said, “It is difficult to confirm whether there was a seizure or search,” but “we are working diligently on the prosecution’s investigation.”
