The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) announced that it is pursuing improvement of the brokerage service by actively reviewing the opinions of the majority of the public that the brokerage service burden is higher than that of brokerage services and recommendations for improvement of the National Rights Commission.

In particular, a comprehensive improvement plan including measures to improve the quality of brokerage services and strengthen the competitiveness of the brokerage service industry is planned to improve the brokerage fee and experience it according to the public’s perspective.

To this end, research services such as a survey on the satisfaction of citizens’ services are carried out along with a survey for objective basic data to closely review and reflect the recommendations of the National Rights Commission.

In addition, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport plans to organize and operate a (tentative name) brokerage repair and brokerage service improvement TF from the end of February in order to collect various opinions in the process of promoting system improvement and to ensure reasonable communication and discussion of related stakeholders.

Participation in the TF will be expanded so that various voices from not only related experts, but also consumer organizations and industry officials can be heard.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to initiate a research service in early March to conduct a survey on the actual condition and a survey on the satisfaction of national services, and plans to proceed with the goal of finalizing the final improvement plan in June and July.

Land Policy Officer Kim Hyung-seok of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said, “As we plan to form a working-level discussion body to alleviate the burden of brokerage fees that the general public feels, we hope that rational system improvement measures can be drawn through active participation and communication from the industry. There are many detailed issues when improving, and there are still large differences between the industries, but we will continue to discuss it with a sense of speed so that a plan for system improvement can be drawn up as soon as possible.”
