Project CARS 3 details its progression system – News

On August 28th, car simulation enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on Project CARS 3, a new entry in the license developed by Slightly Mad Studios.

While waiting for the game to arrive, Kris Pope, chief designer of Project CARS 3, published an article on the PlayStation Blog to explain how the progression system works. For this new title, the teams have decided to include a experience system at the heart of progression. Concretely, this means that players will gain experience regardless of the type of event or running race. In this way, everyone will be able to progress, regardless of the chosen modes. However, Kris Pope clarifies that in order to avoid encouraging ultra-aggressive and dangerous driving, bad behavior will be penalized by lower gains.

We want to reward players for their skill and encourage them to improve their behavior in the game. Show skill and know-how and drive with less aids to increase your experience gains.

Obviously, this gained experience will make it possible to gain levels, and get currency ingame to unlock new vehicles. In career mode, this will result in having to unlock new cars to complete the challenges and events offered. In total, the studio promises 192 different events, and completing career mode will take around 40 hours.
