The test for the new coronavirus of Prince Daniel, the wife of Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria, is positive, TASS reported.
The prince has been vaccinated, his symptoms are mild, the palace said.
Princess Victoria and her husband were already infected with the new coronavirus last spring. It was reported yesterday that she tested positive again and had cold symptoms, but otherwise she is feeling well.
The two have isolated themselves. Their contacts are tracked.
Earlier this week, Princess Victoria’s parents, 75-year-old King Carl XVI Gustav and 78-year-old Queen Sylvia, also tested positive in the fourth wave of Kovid-19, boosted by the Omicron variant. They were vaccinated in three doses.
In Sweden, the number of infected and hospitalized people has risen sharply, increasing pressure on the health care system, but the level is far below the peaks of previous waves.
