Aimée Leonie Allegonde Marie Söhngen is from Amsterdam and studied law in Leiden after obtaining her high school diploma. During her college years she also met her great love Prince Floris. In 2004, Aimée first appeared on the royal scene at the baptism of Princess Amalia.
On 25 February, Aimée and Floris will announce their engagement at Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn, on the same day as Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Anita van Eijk. They tie the knot on 22 October.
Princess Aimée and Prince Floris have two daughters and a son: Magali (2007), Eliane (2009) and Willem Jan (2013). Floris and Aimée live with their children in Voorschoten.
From 2010 to 2015, Princess Aimée worked for the ANWB (marketing and sales) at the head office in The Hague. Before that she worked at a bank and at Pon Holdings BV in the marketing and communication department.
