Prince Harry to return to New York in WEEKS to celebrate ‘heroes’ | Royal

According to a press release from the Intrepid Museum in New York, The Duke of Sussex will be the guest of honor at a gala to present awards to service members, veterans and their families. After a three-day trip to the Big Apple that has been scrutinized around the world, Prince Harry will return to New York on November 10 to attend the annual “Salute to Freedom” gala.

The gala “recognizes extraordinary leadership and honors the courageous men and women who serve in the defense of our nation,” according to the statement released by the museum.

Harry is expected to present the Intrepid Valor Awards to five servicemen, veterans and military families living with the invisible wounds of war.

The Duke has already used his platform on several occasions to speak about mental health issues within the military and veterans.

“We are so grateful to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, for honoring and amplifying the stories of these heroes and helping to raise awareness of mental health support for our men and women in uniform,” said Susan Marenoff-Zausner, President of Intrepid. Museum.

In addition to Archie’s father, the museum has announced the presence of music icon Jon Bon Jovi and media entrepreneur Bob Pittman, both of whom will receive special prizes.

Meghan Markle’s name is nowhere to be found in the press release, suggesting Harry could attend on his own.

“We are incredibly proud to present the inaugural Intrepid Valor Awards to five incredible people who went above and beyond the call of duty and persevered under extraordinary circumstances,” said Ms. Marenoff-Zausner.

“It is a fundamental principle of our institution to be there for our military and veterans, who are always there for all of us.”
