Prime Minister Morawiecki in Dobre Miasto announces that the state’s influence on the economy will be reduced

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki came today to the Jutrzenka confectionery company in Dobre Miasto. In addition to promoting the Polish Deal, the Prime Minister announced the establishment of a parliamentary commission to deregulate the state. But what does that actually mean?

At today’s press conference, apart from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the President of the confectionery company Maciej Tryt and Minister Olga Semeniuk also spoke.

– For the Polish Deal to be good for Poland, it must also be good for entrepreneurs and employees. By increasing the free amount and reducing taxes for companies several times, we create the best possible conditions for development. Dobre Miasto is a good place to invest – he said during the conference Prime Minister Morawiecki – The Polish Order in the area of activities for entrepreneurs is an expenditure of PLN 20 billion on increased tax deductible costs so that employees can earn more, but also an expenditure of several hundred billion PLN on inversion in the environment of enterprises – new roads, sewage systems, optical fibers, energy connections and utilities .

During the conference, the chairman of the council of ministers announced the appointment of a parliamentary commission that would deal with deregulation issues. The Prime Minister emphasized that he wanted to create the best possible conditions for entrepreneurs who would be able to make decisions about the fate of their company in a simple and quick way.

—We emphasize the deregulation of the state all the time. We are appointing a commission to deal with deregulation issues. I would also like to thank all those who helped us save Polish companies during the pandemic. The company we are in also used the Shield, as the president emphasized in an interview with me – it allowed them to save jobs, but on the other hand to invest in new equipment – he explained Mateusz Morawiecki.

What is deregulation?

Deregulation is the reduction of the state’s influence on the country’s market and economy. State authorities will less frequently interfere in the economic sphere, and the regulations governing the functioning of companies will be more flexible. This is a series of changes that take place in a free market economy. According to the Prime Minister, deregulation will create favorable conditions for the implementation of the Polish Deal.

How will funds be distributed among local governments?

The Polish Order also has its opponents. Activists of the association “Yes! Local governments for Poland” want to change the criteria for awarding money. In their opinion, at the moment it depends mainly on the prime minister, and the amount of funding may be influenced by his personal sympathies or political interests. In addition, the association calls for the entire process to be made public. During the press conference, we tried to ask the prime minister about the method of distributing funds between local governments, but only the national media managed to ask questions.

The president of Olsztyn, Piotr Grzymowicz also sees some inaccuracies in the government’s program. The president of Olsztyn informed on his social media that he signed the letter of the association “Yes! Local Governments for Poland”, which opposes the Polish Order Government Fund: Social Investments Program. In this way, Piotr Grzymowicz registered among the authorities of the cities in which there are, among others, Rafał Trzaskowski, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz and Jacek Karnowski.
