Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and Minister Boyko Rashkov on the report of the National Police (Live)

Today, the DG National Police presents its annual report. The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and the Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov came to listen to the report.

The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov opened the beginning of the event by greeting the Ministry of Interior.

I would like to personally congratulate the Ministry of Interior for being on the side of the people. We are currently in a time of change and everyone must stand on the side of the people or on the side of the status quo, corruption, the untouchables, said the Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Interior is the institution that chose and is part of the country of the law, the people, he added.

I would like to congratulate you on having a fair election, because if the local derby players continued to control the vote, we may not all be here today. Even the opposition cannot say anything about it. It is a fact that at the moment in the Bulgarian parliament the parties are positioned as the people elected them, stressed Kiril Petkov.

Second – the rule of law returns to Bulgaria. No one is above the law, there are no more yours, no more ours. We have made it clear that we are not afraid – neither of the people in the underworld, nor of the people who were part of the corruption model of the previous government. The fact is that the prosecutor’s office of Bulgaria is not working, said the Prime Minister. I believe that there are honest prosecutors, that there are brave prosecutors and more and more people will join us. For me, Mr. Geshev is absolutely compromised, even at the EU level, added Kiril Petkov.

Change is a long and difficult process, but I believe it is possible. Fear is lagging behind, legality is at the forefront, added Kiril Petkov.
