What causes Rubella?

Rubella is an infection in children and young adults caused by virus RNA from the genus Rubivirus and belongs to the family Togaviridae.

The main transmission can be through droplets of saliva in the air expelled by the patient through coughing or sneezing. Or it could be because sufferers share food and drinks in the same plate or glass with other people. It’s the same if you touch your eyes, nose or mouth after handling a contaminated object virus rubella.
