What causes Rubella?
Rubella is an infection in children and young adults caused by virus RNA from the genus Rubivirus and belongs to the family Togaviridae.
The main transmission can be through droplets of saliva in the air expelled by the patient through coughing or sneezing. Or it could be because sufferers share food and drinks in the same plate or glass with other people. It’s the same if you touch your eyes, nose or mouth after handling a contaminated object virus rubella.
Besides that rubella can also be spread from pregnant women to children in the womb through the bloodstream.
Incubation time of the sufferer rubella lasts a week or two before the onset of the rash until about a week or two after the rash disappears. An infected person can transmit the disease before the person develops symptoms rubella.
