Preud’homme starts working at Standard half-time

At the end of May it grew into an elongated soap: would Michel Preud’homme continue to be Standard’s trainer next season or not? Finally, the long-awaited answer came on June 8, when MPH announced on his club’s official channels that he would resign from his duties as head coach and technical director.

In the meantime, replacements have already been found in the form of head coach Philippe Montanier and technical director Benjamin Nicaise, but Preud’homme is also still associated with the club. After all, he will focus on his role as vice-chairman and he will further develop the structures of the club.

The last hour knows that Preud’homme’s contract has since been amended and that he is now working part-time at Standard. “I’m going to shift my focus to the other part of our project, with a much lighter program,” he says.
