United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet stressed that at least 54 people were killed in the shootings of the Myanmar military police and told the Myanmar military to stop the killings. Bachelet said that of the 54 deaths, at least 30 were found to have died the previous day in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing, Magway, and Mon, and 18 died on the 28th of last month.
