President Trump promises free antibody corona treatment, but is that realistic?

President Trump was hospitalized last Friday for being infected with the corona virus. Three days later he was allowed to go home to continue to recover there. Among other things, he was treated with an experimental drug from biotech company Regeneron, a cocktail of antibodies. After a day he felt great, according to President Trump. “It was my idea and in that sense corona is a godsend in disguise.”

Trump now promises his countrymen that they will get what he got, and that for free. There are hundreds of thousands of doses of it, Trump said. He wants to quickly sign an exceptional authorization, so that the drug can be used. However, it is not clear whether and how the authorization process for such new drugs can be accelerated.
