«You will be in our hearts forever»
As the British news channel “Channel 4 News” reports, Agyapong worked in the hospital until March 12. Until then, however, no coronavirus patients were said to have been treated at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. Accordingly, she should have been infected outside the hospital. Her husband is also infected with the virus and is currently in quarantine at home.

After the tragic incident, friends of the young woman set up a fundraiser for the surviving husband and newborn daughter and have raised the equivalent of over CHF 24,000 to date. On the donation page, they write: “You will be in our hearts forever.” Mary said it was a blessing for all those she met.
