Preformers will soon receive the liberals, but greens will also still be an option for De Wever and Magnette

This afternoon, the preformers De Wever and Magnette receive the liberal chairmen Egbert Lachaert (Open VLD) and Georges-Louis Bouchez (MR). They will talk about liberal adjustments to the starting note of N-VA chairman De Wever and his PS colleague Magnette. The two blue parties have clung together.

The two preformers also plan to negotiate further with the Greens. Earlier this week, Groen and Ecolo already had an hour-long conversation with the preformateurs. “It was a respectful and constructive conversation, but there are still a number of important gaps and ambiguities,” said the greens afterwards.

Tomorrow the two preformers will report to the king on the state of affairs in government formation.
