PP: We will not support a government with the BSP mandate

The short life of the new Bulgarian parliament clearly showed that the winner of the third term BSP can form a government with the other political partieswith whom they jointly elected the Speaker of the National Assembly and worked in sync on key legislative initiatives.

This is stated in an official position to the media from “We continue the change”.

The National Council of Continuing the Change came out with a decision to refrain from supporting the government with the mandate of the BSP, but to support the national priorities of the program statement of the PP, which coincide with the goals of the new regular cabinetin case it is formed by the other political forces.

Ninova is silent on whether she will accept support from GERB as a mandate holder

She was given the green light to negotiate with all parties

We believe that we can find an agreement with the BSP in the field of social policy, with a guarantee of a 3% deficit. But we see serious divergences on issues related to judicial reform and the Attorney General bills, the return of the paper ballot through amendments to the Electoral Code, the entry into the Eurozone and the attitude towards the war in Ukraine.

If we receive an invitation to speak with BSP, we will accept it. We went to policy talks with all parties, because we are convinced that in the complex political rebus, the only meaningful way is to discuss policies for the development of Bulgaria.

At the same time, the signals given by almost all political parties in relation to the third mandate raise doubts about real intentions for a regular government.

The differences between DB and BSP were widening

In this regard, the National Council of Continuing the Change mandated the leaders Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev to start talks with Democratic Bulgaria, Save Sofia and all other formations that work for a prosperous, fair and European Bulgaria, with the aim of potential unifications for the next local and national elections in the country.
