Important news for all those who are in possession of postal books. Until now, Italians who have this service of Poste Italiane had to go to thepost office closest to them.

From today things change and all holders of postal booklets will be able to pay cash in the same way as they withdraw them, that is to ATMs of Poste Italiane. So let’s see how to pay cash into our postal book in this way.

Pouring cash into our post office book using an ATM of the Italian Post Office is very simple. The first thing to do, of course, is insert the passbook paper in the specific slot of the Atm. After a few seconds the message will appear on the monitor: “Cash payment”. At this point you have to press on “cash payment” and yes enters the PIN.

At this point they can insert banknotes in the specific slot dedicated to banknotes. Only included cuts can be inserted between 5 and 100 euros and the bills should not have rubber bands or staples holding them together. After entering the number we want, the Postamat counter will show the summary of the payment indicating the denomination of each banknote, the number of pieces and obviously the total.

At this point we can decide whether to insert other banknotes or confirm the operation. If we confirm the operation it will be printed a paper document with all the details of the payment just made. Our operation therefore ends like this: in a few minutes we have paid some cash into our postal book.

This operation, however, cannot be carried out in all ATMs of Poste Italiane but only through the new Postamat Cash – In. Currently in all of Italy they are only available 20 ATMs of this type which, in addition to the function just indicated, also have sophisticated safety devices.
