In addition to a swimming area, five Olympic-length swimming lanes have been installed.

The Member of Parliament for the riding of Quebec, Jean-Yves Duclos, also took advantage of the harbor bath.

“The water is warmer than you think,” he hinted. I was surprised. At 70 degrees, it felt great. [Je ressentais] the warmth of the people too, since there are people who have worked for 25 years to make the project happen.”

Lifeguards were on hand to ensure safety. Bathers appreciate the possibility of bathing in a natural environment.

“There is no chlorine, it’s like a lake. I hope it doesn’t get too popular,” one woman said with a laugh.

The harbor bath will be accessible to bathers until September. It can accommodate up to 300 people simultaneously.
