The Panamera range, like that of the Porsche 911, has expanded enormously. The facelifted Panamera was introduced to a new Turbo S version, a 680 hp version that took a solid step above the 550 hp Panamera Turbo. The revised Turbo S E-Hybrid kept Porsche under wraps, apparently for good reason. That plug-in hybrid was previously good for 680 hp, but returns in 700 hp form to the facelifted Porsche Panamera and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.
The plug-in hybrid Turbo S E-Hybrid has a 571 hp version of the biturbo 4.0 V8 in its nose, which is more powerful than the 550 hp variant in its predecessor. That mighty 4.0 V8 is again coupled with a 136 hp electric motor, which brings the system power to an impressive 700 hp. A more powerful eight-cylinder isn’t the only news Porsche is bringing to the revised Turbo S E-Hybrid. For example, the plug-in’s battery pack now measures 17.9 kWh instead of 14 kWh. This increased capacity gives the Turbo S E-Hybrid a 27 percent greater range. Like the other plug-ins, the Turbo S E-Hybrid has an eight-speed PDK automatic transmission. With the Sport Chrono package, it sprints to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. That is 0.2 seconds faster than before. The top speed is 315 km / h. The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid reaches 50 kilometers on fully electric power. From the outside, it can be recognized by its light units from the Panamera Turbo.
4 E-Hybrid
And then there is the equally revised 4 E-Hybrid. This third plug flavor for the Panamera comes a step below the 560 hp 4S E-Hybrid. Under the hood is a 330 hp 2.9-liter biturbo V6, which thanks to an electric motor is good for a system power of 462 hp. The battery pack also measures 17.9 kWh in this plug-in and that is actually the news. Before the facelift, the Panamera was also available as a 4 E-Hybrid, but with a battery pack of only 14 kWh. The 4 E-Hybrid thunders to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than before. Its top speed is 280 km / h. The electric range is 56 kilometers.
4S
The delivery range is further expanded with the new 4S. This variant with 440 hp 3.0 V6 also existed before the facelift that Porsche carried out on the model earlier this year. With the Sport Chrono package, the 4S accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds. At 295 km / h acceleration is a thing of the past. The Panamera 4S has the front that comes with the Sport Design package as standard.
