For many iPhone users, multiple frequently used apps did not start for hours on Friday. The problems arose on Friday at the end of the morning and were resolved around 3 o’clock on Friday afternoon.
The cause was a problem with a Facebook system that the apps use, confirmed Facebook.
The affected apps could be opened by putting the phone in airplane mode, but without an internet connection, many apps have few functionalities. On Android, the problems didn’t seem to arise.

Came from all over the world message inside about the crashing apps. The problems hit Spotify, Pinterest, Tinder and Waze, among others. Players of Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG also reported crashing apps. Several major Dutch apps were also affected.
