The star of home shows, the poet Magone Liedeskalnas has written a novel about the experiences of her family over the course of four generations, which she hopes to see in a film.
“The work is about how my family has been for four generations. When I had a conversation with J. J. Gillinger, he said to me: “Make a movie!”. Who knows what will come of these crazy dreams in the end,” says Poppy to “Privatā Dzīve” edition.
However, she dreams not only of a film based on her novel, but also of choirs performing a song with her words at Christmas. “Now my goal is Christmas Eve – I want the choir to sing my song,” the poet reveals to the magazine “Privatā Dzīve”. We are talking about the song “Manas tēvzemes kāstās”, for which she is the author of the words, while Ainars Bumbieris wrote the music.
“I once wrote a poem with seven verses. It can be read in one of my three collections of poems. And then one day Ainars announced to me: “This poem resonates with me immediately, it will become a song.” When I received the composition from him, I listened to it and I was in tears,” Magone tells the publication.
Well, she has a plan for what to do next with this song. “We will submit it for the next Christmas Eve, so that all the choirs sing together on the Mežaparks stage,” says Magone.
The only thing where she is not doing well is on the love front. “Smurgs only hit! At the moment, I have put dating aside. I follow my path and believe that one day I will meet a man who will tell me: “I have been looking for you for a long time!”,
