Politicians from CDA and ChristenUnie have reacted with horror to statements by rapper Lange Frans and his guest Janet Ossebaard. In an episode of his podcast, the two fantasize about an attack on Prime Minister Rutte.
On Twitter a fragment is shared in which Ossebaard lists a number of politicians and other people who she thinks will ‘fall’: “Mark Rutte, Geert Wilders, the royal family, all of them”. Presenter Lange Frans responds with: “And should we do that ourselves, or will help come?”
Ossebaard says about Prime Minister Rutte: “What should we do, shoot that man? I am not going to do it, because I would like to keep my karma clean. But that does mean that we need help.” Lange Frans says among other things: “I can shoot well, it is not that I would miss.”
Christian Union leader Gert-Jan Segers and CDA MP Pieter Omtzigt, among others, respond with incomprehension.
