Politicians condemn vandalism of Christmas decorations in Corona

They destroy the Christmas decorations in Corona, Queens, whose lighting celebration took place last Friday.

And some elected officials in the area have condemned this act of vandalism.

Councilor Francisco Moya shared a video, showing the damage done to the decorations just outside his district office.

He also showed the exhibit that opened last Friday at William F. Moore Park in Corona.

Moya noted that the purpose of the decorations was to bring joy and that such a scene is unacceptable.

He added that the project was extremely expensive and was for the community.

The intention of the decoration, explains Moya, was to send a positive message.

At the moment it is unknown who were responsible.
