A driver had his driver’s license confiscated and separated the car after he was stopped in Oslo.
On Tuesday, a foreign-registered car was stopped in the Svartdal tunnel in Oslo by a motorcyclist from the Traffic Corps, the Oslo police district wrote on Twitter.
The car’s windshield was broken, and visibility was limited as a result.
– The car was separated and the driver had his driver’s license confiscated, the police say.
The police are not very happy with the driver’s choice to drive a car with such a broken windscreen.
– Here, the person in question has driven a motor vehicle that is not suitable at all on the road at all. It is directly dangerous, says operations manager in the Oslo police district, Sven Christian Lie to Nettavisen.
The operations manager states that the driver was stopped inside a tunnel.
– But getting sunlight into the “rose” in the window, leads to a color crack that is completely impossible to see through. That is the reason why the car was separated and the driver’s license confiscated, he says and continues:
– The driver is not suitable for driving a motor vehicle when he chooses to drive a car with these injuries, says Lie and adds that the injury is almost like not scraping ice on the window.

Cars with such extensive damage are something the police fortunately see little of.
– It is not something you often see, and it is good.
The operations manager did not know if the person in question had had any excuse for the driving.
