This morning, around 3:30 a.m., a building fire in Breisach was reported to the integrated control center in Freiburg.
So far it is only known that a fire broke out in the back of a restaurant not far from the city cemetery.
The fire brigade is on site with a large number. The extinguishing work dragged on until around 5:15 a.m.
The building was completely damaged by the fire. People were not injured. The amount of damage cannot yet be quantified, but it should be in the high six-digit range.
No statement can yet be made about the cause of the fire.
The Breisach police station has started investigations into the cause of the fire.
