Police reports in Eastern Switzerland
On Sunday evening two vehicles collided with each other at an intersection in Appenzell. Four people were injured in the accident and had to be taken to the hospital by various ambulances.

Early on Sunday evening, a 24-year-old woman drove on Enggenhüttenstrasse in Appenzell AI from Scheidweg in the direction of the crossroads, where she turned left in the direction of Enggenhütten AI. At the same time, a 66-year-old man was driving his car from Enggenhütten and wanted to continue straight ahead on the main road in the direction of the Mettlenkreisel.
As a result, there was a violent side-on frontal collision between the two vehicles, as the canton police in Appenzell Innerrhoden wrote in a message. A total of four people were injured. There was also major property damage. The ambulances from Spital Appenzell, Herisau and Heiden were in action.
