Eastern police reported on Twitter Monday afternoon that a male prisoner had escaped from the A-house hospital in Lørenskog. They urged people to avoid contact and call 112 if they observe the person.
– It’s a custodian who has escaped. “I don’t know why he was in the hospital,” operations manager Heidi Granerud of the Eastern Police District told VG.
“Because of his history, we do not want others to try to arrest him, we will do that ourselves,” said the VG operations manager.
Just before 4.30pm, police reported that the man was arrested on a train from Lillestrøm. They thank the audience for good tips that led to the arrest.
