Police operation after the Rheinderby in Gladbach

The second derby against 1. FC Köln this season was also lost for Borussia Mönchengladbach. The frustration of the fans was correspondingly great.

After the game between Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1. FC Köln, there was a police operation at the stadium. According to reports, around 150 to 200 Gladbach supporters gathered at the club’s office and blocked the exit of the players and team buses. They allegedly did not get any further because they were able to stop the police with the help of the security forces.

According to “Sport1”, the supporters wanted to storm the cabin wing and confront the team.

Apparently, some players agreed to a conversation. Lars Stindl, Tony Jantschke and Patrick Herrmann therefore discussed with the fans and received support from CFO Stephan Schippers and Vice President Rainer Bonhof. After the conversation there should have been occasional applause. The group then broke up.
