The Antwerp police were en masse to the Grote Markt on Friday afternoon. A shooting incident took place there at a little before 6 pm in a building above a restaurant.

Around 5.48 pm, the police were informed that a shot was heard in a building on the Grote Markt, above a restaurant. Immediately after the facts, some persons had walked out.
“The police immediately went to the scene with a large number of teams to inspect the area,” said police spokesman Wouter Bruyns. “On the basis of witness statements, three people were selected, whose possible involvement is now being investigated. We currently have no knowledge of victims, context or more ”.
