Police believe the shooting at a July 4 parade in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park in the United States on Monday, was planned for several weeks and that the accused man acted alone.
This is what spokesman Christopher Covell in the police says at a press conference on Tuesday night Norwegian time.
Six people were killed and many seriously injured in the mass shooting.
22-year-old Robert E. Crimo has been arrested and charged with the attack.
According to Covell, the parade was shot more than 70 times, with a rifle the accused had bought legally.
Covell also says that the accused was dressed in women’s clothes, something the police believe he did to hide tattoos and characteristics.
