In the shelling against the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Ukrainian army used grenade launchers made in Bulgaria. This was reported by TASS, quoting the spokesman of the People’s Militia of the unrecognized republic. The information was announced by BTA.

It is stated that 30-millimeter shells for grenade launchers, manufactured at the Bulgarian Arsenal plant, were used in the shelling of the village of Zaytsevo.

“This fact clearly confirms how the West supplies Ukraine with deadly weapons, which are used to destroy civilians in the republics of Donbass,” the statement said.

Continued supplies of modern weapons and ammunition to Ukraine by NATO countries are urging Kiev to reach a military solution to the Donbass problem, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a telephone conversation with French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. According to Putin, the escalation is due to provocations by Ukrainian security forces. According to him, this leads to the suffering of civilians in the unrecognized republics, who have to be evacuated to Russia to be rescued.

So far, about 40,000 people from Donbass have arrived on Russian territory. A state of emergency has been imposed in the Rostov and Voronezh regions bordering Ukraine. Dozens of temporary accommodation points have been set up. A total of 30 regions in Russia have expressed readiness to host residents of the unrecognized Donetsk and Luhansk republics in Ukraine.
