The Police He identified the three men who died yesterday, Wednesday, in a multiple murder at a gas station in Juana Díaz.
Two of the victims were 21 years old. It was about Jorge Cruz Cruz and José Rafael Meléndez Cruz, both residents of mentioned municipality. The first was found by agents on the pavement of a Texaco gas station on the PR-149 road, in front of the Las Terrazas business. The second body was inside a Hyundai vehicle, Brio model of the year 2004.
The bodies of these citizens had several bullet impacts, according to a Uniformed report.
Meanwhile, the third dead was José A. Pabón Burgos, 39, who was transported by paramedics to the San Cristóbal de Ponce Hospital, where his death was certified.
The events occurred at about 6:17 p.m. yesterday and it was a call to the Emergency System 9-9-1 that alerted the Police.
The investigation of this case is carried out by agent Fernando Tarafa of the Homicide Division of Ponce, together with Prosecutors Annette Esteves and Juana Pumarejo, as well as the staff of the Forensic Sciences Bureau.
According to the Press Office of the Police Headquarters, the number of murders so far this year amounts to 28. By this same date last year the number was 35.
