A European arrest warrant was issued by Slovak colleagues for a 22-year-old man in February 2018, the suspect escaped for a long time, until now he was detained in the Old Town.
“The Regional Court in Brno has decided to take a foreigner into pre-trial detention and in the following days it will be decided to extradite him to Slovakia for criminal prosecution,” police spokeswoman Lenka Javorková said about the case.
According to the tvnoviny.sk portal, he is to be a 22-year-old Slovak who is being prosecuted for a crime qualified under sexual criminal law as sexual abuse. If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison.
