The police are searching a house and a garage on Bellinckhof. A police dog is also present. A car is also searched. It is not yet known what the police are looking for, but the search may be related to the case of the assassination attempt on curator Philippe Schol. The address to the Bellinckhof surfaced earlier in this case.

Slaughterhouse Road
The raid on Slachthuisweg attracts attention from employees of other car companies. They are watching behind a red and white ribbon that the police have hung. There are about thirty car companies in and around the former Hengelo slaughterhouse. “Every now and then they come here to check,” says one man.

That seems to be true. Last October, the car companies on the Slachthuisweg also had a major inspection. Employees of the police, fire brigade, tax authorities, customs and the municipality of Hengelo were involved. Violations were not or hardly ever found. “We even received a compliment from the fire brigade for the fire extinguishers,” says the man.

Arrests in restaurant
Earlier in the evening, three arrests made in a restaurant in Hengelo† It is not known whether those arrests are related to the raids later on at the Slachthuisweg and Bellinckhof.
