“We are currently looking for an armed man moving around the Les 4 Temps shopping center in the La Défense district,” an unnamed source from the Paris police told Le Figaro this morning. According to the newspaper, the man could be armed with a Kalashnikov.

Shortly after noon, however, law enforcement officers ended the raid on the neighborhood, not detecting any armed men. According to the BFMTV station, the police went through the recordings from security cameras. Apparently it was a mistake. The man who informed the police about the gunman apparently mistaken the weapon for a large black backpack.
