The police were attacked by rioters in the city center of Groningen on Saturday evening with bottles and stones. To disperse the group of around sixty men, the police carried out a charge.
“The group was annoying and there were fights in different places,” the police write on Twitter. “We have carried out a charge. The group spread but came back a little later.”
A police officer was injured in the incident. Unknown how the agent is doing.
Two people were arrested for insult. Another has been arrested for the destruction of a company car.
The cause of the arguments is also still unknown.
