“The selection committee before the test was sworn in, and the selection committee in the health sector took the Indonesian Doctors Association in each regional representative,” said Yuwono, in a written statement, in Jakarta, Saturday.
Therefore, he said, the selection of Police Academy cadets / cadets during the Covid-19 pandemic in addition to being assessed for health, physical, psychological and academic, all prospective cadets / cadets of the Police Academy in 2020 must be declared free from exposure to the Corona or Covid-19 virus. .
“Participants must be free from Covid-19, which is stated by the results of the swab test by the task force and Bhayangkara Hospital and IDI,” he said.
Regarding the failure of the candidate for cadets from the Riau Islands, he said, the Indonesian Police felt that they had lost the best 2020 Police Academy cadets because they tested positive for Covid-19.
In fact, he said, the candidate taruni who tested positive got the top rank in the academic field.
The Indonesian Police, he said, were praying for and opening the widest possible opportunity to try again at the opening of the Police Academy in the coming year.
“The National Police feels that they have lost the best participant in the selection to become the police. However, it cannot be denied that one of the main conditions is Covid-19 free,” he said.
He stated, cases of failed cadets / cadets of the Police Academy did not just happen Polda Kepri, but also available in Polda Metro Jaya and Polda Jawa Timur.
“There are also those who were sent home because the results of the swab test were positive. If they are forced to send the selection to the center, it is feared that it will affect other participants to contract Covid-19,” he said.
